Migration and interculturality training

Last July, Rosto Solidário organized a training course for young people on the theme of “Migration and Interculturality” through artistic expression.

This initiative, co-created with Arganil City Council and CUME – Youth Association, as part of the Parcerias Locais project, was attended by 13 young people of diferent nationalities (Portugal, Brazil, Angola and Colombia).

After the training, the migrant participants shared that they had  special and learning experiences, adding that “they hadn’t felt so integrated for a long time”.

The group T.E.I.A. – Teatro Experimental de Intervenção de Arganil used the inspiration from the reflection on the phenomenon of migration and interculturality to prepare the new play “A Viagem”, which was presented on August 12.

This action is the result of a concerted dialog between Rosto Solidário and the Arganil City Council, after identifying the municipality’s need to work on these issues.

We would like to remind you that the project Local Partnerships for Development Education and Global Citizenship: Strengthening the Role of Municipalities and Other Local Actors in the Implementation of National Development Education Strategy, aims to strengthen the role of municipalities and other local actors in the implementation of the National Strategy for Development Education.

It is a project implemented by Rosto Solidário and FEC | Fundação Fé e Cooperação, co-financed by Camões, I.P.
