Rosto Solidário brings Development Education to the 16th World Scout Moot 2025 – Portugal
From July 31 to August 2, Rosto Solidário took part in the 16th World Scout Moot, held this year in Portugal, with activities integrated into the project “Local Partnerships for DEGC”.
The event brought together thousands of scouts from all over the world, providing a space for intercultural learning, cooperation, and commitment to a fairer and more sustainable future.
Interactive Game in Buçaquinho: Water, Environment and Citizenship
At Buçaquinho Park, Rosto Solidário facilitated an educational game focused on water management and the water cycle, inviting participants to reflect on the relationship between natural resources, human behavior, and global environmental challenges. Through gamification, it was possible to promote meaningful learning about environmental sustainability, individual and collective responsibility, as well as the transformative role of youth.
Workshop on the SDGs in Espinho
In Espinho, scouts participated in a hands-on workshop on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), where they were able to explore in a playful and collaborative way the global targets to eradicate poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all. The activity highlighted the importance of critical thinking, local action, and global commitment as pillars of Global Citizenship.
A Truly Global Gathering
More than 118 scouts took part in the activities run by Rosto Solidário, making this a unique opportunity for intercultural education, global interaction, and the sharing of diverse perspectives on today’s global challenges.
