HOST INSTITUTION

ROSTO SOLIDÁRIO AS A HOST INSTITUTION

The European Solidarity Corps offers young people the opportunity to support the resolution of problematic situations across Europe, on themes as diverse as environment, sustainability, health, culture and heritage, sport, gender equality, European awareness, inter-religious dialogue, ethnic minorities, civil protection, social services, among others.

Young people aged between 17 and 30 who are interested in taking part in a solidarity volunteering experience can register on the ESC portal here.

Rosto Solidário promotes and supports volunteering experiences under ESC and as a hosting organization, has already received a total of 57 volunteers from different nationalities, involved in activities in the organization and in the community of Santa Maria da Feira divided into three axes:
Social Solidarity, Community and Environment and Communication for Change.

After this registration, young people will have the opportunity to help and participate in the daily work of the organizations for a period ranging from 2 to 12 months.
The participation in ESC projects is free of charge and supports young people in travel, accommodation, food, insurance, specific trainings, mentoring and pocket money.

Pessoas & Planeta

The People & Planet Project results from an application to the European Solidarity Corps in the typology Volunteering Partnerships, and intends to be a transnational volunteering project, in order to increase the involvement of young people, especially those with fewer opportunities, in sending, hosting and volunteering team activities to promote solidarity and sustainable development of the community and the environment.

Solidarity, Culture and Heritage

Solidarity, Culture and Heritage is a Volunteering Project coordinated by Rosto Solidário and funded by the Erasmus + Program.

Having as a starting point the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 it was intended with this Project to deepen the links between Solidarity and Cultural Heritage through the contact of European volunteers with the local Cultural Heritage, the promotion of the encounter of different European peoples and cultures and also the recognition that European solidarity is a common heritage that should be preserved.

The Voluntary Generation

The Voluntary Generation is coordinated by the French organization ADICE – Association Pour Le Developpement Des Initiatives Citoyennes Et Europeennes and involves 20 partner organizations from different countries (France, Germany, Spain, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Portugal, Sweden, Turkey and Georgia. The project aims to promote volunteer experiences for 28 young people from the Hauts-de-France region through 8 short-term and 20 long-term projects.

Diversa/mente

The Diversa/mind Project was promoted by Oikos (Italy) and implemented by Rosto Solidário as a host entity. This Project aimed to help young people face the consequences of recent socio-economic changes, especially unemployment, by promoting their mobility, empowerment, social integration, intercultural understanding and sense of belonging to a global community.

Diversidades

The Diversities Project welcomes in Portugal 7 young volunteers from 4 different countries: Hungary, Turkey, Spain and Italy. Its general objective is to promote and enhance the reflection on diversity in organizations through the integration of EVS volunteers and the knowledge about the existing diversities in local communities. This project is the result of an application approved to Key Action 1 of the Erasmus + Programme.

Completion: September 30, 2016

Solidarity Plus

The “Solidarity Plus” project promotes the hosting of young European volunteers under the EVS Program. The hosting takes place in Santa Maria da Feira from February 1, 2015 to September 30, 2016 and involves 7 European volunteers in local solidarity, education and awareness activities.

Citizenship: Inclusion and dialogue between generations in Santa Maria da Feira

The project “Citizenship, Inclusion and Dialogue between Generations in Santa Maria da Feira” had as main objective to involve young European volunteers in local social development and humanitarian actions through international partnerships.
