Active and Participatory Methodologies Training

On July 11, a training course was held for teachers from the Fernando Pessoa School Group, in Sta. Maria da Feira, on the theme of Active and Participatory Methodologies.

This short course, implemented as part of the Parcerias locais para a EDCG project, was attended by 21 teachers and administered by Sara Borges and Sandra Machado, from the Gonçalo da Silveira Foundation organization.

Its main objectives were to reflect on the role of DE/ECG in educational processes and its connection to the Experiential Learning Cycle, as well as to learn about and deepen the active and participatory methodologies used in this type of process.

The contents of the Experiential Learning Cycle were covered; the dialectical poles of the cycle; the experiential learning spiral; meaningful learning; active and participatory methodologies (what they are and examples).

We would like to remind you that the project Local Partnerships for Development Education and Global Citizenship: Strengthening the Role of Municipalities and Other Local Actors in the Implementation of National Development Education Strategy, aims to strengthen the role of municipalities and other local actors in the implementation of the National Strategy for Development Education.
