With “MOVE Reuse and Sustainability” the aim was to restore/customize furniture in the resource bank (because they were in poor condition or surplus) promoting reuse and sustainability, implicit objectives in the action of the resource bank.
Thus, to embody the project and as part of the celebrations of the 8th anniversary of its constitution, Rosto Solidário mobilized 8 artists in the restoration of 8 pieces of furniture: Fernando Andrade, CerciFeira Formação – Carpentry Workshop, Catraia, Heart Gallery, Mizé, Rita Pinto, Oficina – Café Criativo and Carla Azevedo. Participation was voluntary and free of charge.
The works were shown in a collective exhibition that took place in Orfeão da Feira on September 19th, the day Rosto Solidário celebrated its anniversary with more than 700 members, volunteers, collaborators and friends.
The final objective of the exhibition was the solidarity sale of the final products of the project, in order to raise funds to revert to the Passionist Mission, to specifically support the construction of a library at the Santa Cruz Cultural Centre in Uige, Angola.
