Rosto Solidário supported the participation of three Portuguese young people in a volunteering project at the Lesser Poland Youth Festival, held in Rabka-Zdrój, in southern Poland.

Over 35 days, the project brought together young people from several European countries in a unique multicultural experience, dedicated to the preparation and delivery of a festival that travelled through different cities and towns across the region.

The Portuguese participants were involved in the organisation of workshops, performances, cultural and social events, as well as initiatives related to youth policies.

A Transformative Experience

For Luís Trindade, one of the volunteers, this experience was much more than just a project:

“When I think about this project, I think of something that has brought great value to me, to my heart and to my soul. I found something that was missing in my life: connections. I felt happy, at peace and in the right place, with the right people. There were no monotonous days: everything was dynamic, full of practical and fun learning experiences. We had fantastic conditions and an incredible environment to prepare the festival with joy. So, all I can say is: thank you!”

This project was made possible thanks to the European Solidarity Corps, which continues to create opportunities for young people to have transformative experiences, develop new skills and contribute to fairer and more sustainable communities.
