Final Meeting of Migration is here

On 16 and 17 June, Rosto Solidário took part in the final meeting and dissemination event of the European project Migration is Here in Leszno, Poland.

Funded by the Erasmus+ programme, the project promotes the integration of migrants through international cooperation, professional capacity building and the sharing of good practices.

The meeting was hosted by the Leszno Foundation for Ukraine, an organisation established in the first weeks following the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, which now develops educational and integration projects throughout the Greater Poland region.

The event provided an opportunity to present the project’s main outcomes, namely the Guide for Migrant Reception Information Points and the Training Manual for Professionals and Practitioners Working with Migrant Populations.

These tools were developed to support institutions, organisations and professionals in improving the quality of services provided to migrants, promoting approaches that are more inclusive, intercultural and effective.

Over recent months, the project partners implemented a range of activities, including round-table discussions, international study visits, training sessions and opportunities for dialogue between civil society organisations, local authorities and migrant communities.

This work made it possible to identify common challenges, share innovative solutions and develop recommendations for integration policies better adapted to the needs of local communities and territories.

Led by the Leszno Foundation for Ukraine (Poland), the project also involved STUDIO PROGETTO (Italy) and Rosto Solidário (Portugal), strengthening European cooperation around a shared goal: building more inclusive communities that are better prepared to welcome and integrate migrants.

Rosto Solidário’s participation in the project contributes to the development of more qualified responses in the field of migrant integration, reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to social inclusion, interculturality and active citizenship, both locally and globally.
