Last Saturday, 4 October, the team from the project partner organisation C\u00e1ritas de Angola held a formal presentation of the Re-Crafts project for its target audience.<\/p>\n

Although many participants had already had an initial contact with the project during the mapping process, this meeting provided an opportunity to deepen mutual understanding, present the project\u2019s goals, and identify the skills, knowledge and experiences that each person can contribute to this collaborative network of exchange and learning.<\/p>\n

What is the Re-Crafts Project?<\/span><\/h3>\n

Re-Crafts \u2013 Strengthening Vocational Education to Promote Craft and Upcycling Entrepreneurs in the Cultural and Green Tourism Value Chain is an intercontinental initiative that aims to revitalise local handicrafts and promote sustainable practices through vocational education and the strengthening of cultural and tourism enterprises based on recycling and the appreciation of cultural heritage.<\/p>\n

The project focuses on quality vocational training, the creation and consolidation of sustainable businesses, and the promotion of employability and entrepreneurship, contributing to sustainable community development and the preservation of local traditions.<\/p>\n

Expected Results<\/span><\/h3>\n

  • Creation of a Value Chain Model involving local artisans, entrepreneurs and the tourism sector;<\/li>\n
  • Development of a Vocational Training Framework that systematises craft and entrepreneurship techniques and methodologies applicable to the realities of the participating territories.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The project partners are Rosto Solid\u00e1rio (Portugal), FEDESPAB (Portugal), C\u00e1ritas de Angola (Angola), C\u00e1ritas Mo\u00e7ambicana (Mozambique), Espa\u00e7o Jovem (Cape Verde) and ASPAYM (Spain).<\/p>\n

    The project is funded by the Erasmus+ programme.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
